Handy ways for aliens to pay individual income tax.

  With the tax-filing month (May) approaching and considering that aliens may be concerned how to pay tax after filing their individual income tax, the National Taxation Bureau of the Southern Area, Ministry of Finance expresses that there are multiple handy methods for aliens to pay their individual income tax.

  Aliens can pay tax at any tax collection financial institution (except Chunghwa Post Co., Ltd.). Additionally, if the tax payment amount is less than NT$20,000, they can pay tax at convenience stores such as 7-ELEVEN, FamilyMart, Hi-Life, and OK Mart. Moreover, aliens can pay tax through the following ways.

  (1) Credit Card: Taxpayers can use their own or their spouses’ credit cards issued by commissioned card issuers (one household, one credit card only) to pay tax through "The System of e-Filing and Payment of Individual Income Tax for Aliens."

  (2) Financial Chip Card: Taxpayers can use their own or others’ financial chip card issued by the commissioned financial institution to access "The System of e-Filing and Payment of Individual Income Tax for Aliens" or the tax service website (https://paytax.nat.gov.tw) and pay tax promptly by transfer.

  (3) Current (Savings) Deposit Account: Taxpayers can apply for automatic payment of tax through "The System of e-Filing and Payment of Individual Income Tax for Aliens" via their own current (savings) deposit account of the financial institution or Chunghwa Post Co., Ltd. by transfer immediately.

The Bureau encourages aliens to make good use of the aforesaid methods so as to save time when paying tax.
